| Service:-- a) As
an Assistant Commissioner of BCS(Adm.) cadre performed Magisterial
& Revenue functions in different places. Apart from that,
closely worked with development functions of the Government.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- c) In the district administration, served almost four and half years as Deputy Commissioner in Cox's Bazar and Sylhet district. As the chief executive of the district administration, co-ordination with all offices and activities of the Government was one of the main responsibilities. Consecutively as the District Magistrate, had to perform and co-ordinate the judicial functions of the lower court of the district. d) As a Deputy Secretary of the Government served in the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture & Ministry of Communication. As a joint Secretrary of the Government worked in the Ministry of Establishment. Posted in the Ministry of Information as Additional Secretary of the Government. Hold the charge of Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Manpower. e) Promoted to the post of Secretary of the Government of Bangladesh on 15/02/2005. f) In the Planning Commission hold the position of the Member in Agriculture, Water resources and Rural Institution Division from 08/11/2004 and served as the Member of Programming Division from 01/07/06 to 05/12/2006. g) Posted as the Principal Secretary of the Government of Bangladesh on 31/10/2006 and serving in this position till date. h) Assumed the current responsibility of the Cabinet Secretary in the afternoon of 06/12/2006.
